Fitted with D rings and ready to hang.
The reference photo for this painting was taken several years beforehand in Boughton on the Water. There were a couple of resident parrots whizzing around the place while we were eating our lunch so, naturally I spent a lot of time juggling between my sandwiches and my camera. At least I managed to keep biting the right one!
When I processed the shots from that holiday there were a couple of photos of these parrots that struck me hard enough to say, “One day I’m going to have a go at painting these.” Alongside “Parrot Landing”, this was the other one.
Having spent a lot of time capturing birds in flight, this one stood out as a much more tranquil image and I just happened to have bought the right canvas to paint it onto.
